STAY & SUPPORT
Your Stay at THE JINENG VILLAS – Support Women’s Economic Empowerment in Rural Eastern Indonesia
NOW your stay at THE JINENG VILLAS helps improve maternal and new-born health by supporting women’s economic empowerment in Nusa Tenggara Timur – Rural Eastern Indonesia. We are delighted to have this partnership with Du’Anyam a social enterprise that provides alternative employment for pregnant women in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Indonesia. THE JINENG VILLAS and Du’Anyam aim to improve maternal and newborn health by reducing risks associated with heavy agricultural labor during pregnancy and increasing financial access to health services and proper nutrition. This is achieved by leveraging an existing skill, wicker weaving and building relationship between weaving community and consumers for the production and sale of handmade wicker products.
Du’Anyam works with women in East Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia to facilitate social entrepreneurship in the form of wicker weaving cooperatives. We work with female artisans of childbearing age to design and produce customer-tailored products including slippers, baskets, business card holders, tablet cases, purses, and placemats. Every guests at THE JINENG VILLAS can now experience the slippers during their stay and take them home.
THE JINENG VILLAS and Bali Caring Community support Balinese unfortunates
THE JINENG VILLAS is delighted to support and together with Bali Caring Community, a Bali based non-profit organization initiated by group of hoteliers to bolster the Balinese unfortunates. We continuously supports the local community and the environment thru its ongoing program. Additionally we have made a concerted efforts to create a professional and uplifting work environment in order to deliver a truly memorable experience with sincere and genuine commitment to service”.
Bali Caring Community (BCC) is a dedicated group of concerned citizens who united to take action and address certain community-based issues that affect the people of Bali. The island of Bali is our home and many of us benefit from the thriving tourism industry. There are however others located in remote areas that have never experienced the positive effects of tourism. The spirit of BCC is all about the ability to share our good fortune and give back to the community and those in need. We realize that we cannot solve all of Bali’s problems such as poverty singlehandedly. We hope to attract likeminded supporters who share our vision and are concerned about the future of our local community.”
